Clear your cookies & browser cache

Most websites these days use some form of cookies, including Mobi2Go. We use them in order to bring you & your customers the best experience possible when using our platform.

As great as cookies are, over time the temporary browsing data like cookies & browser cache, can accumulate & actually cause problems to your browsing experience. This can also be known as bad cache.

Some examples of this may be when you see Page cannot be found displayed or encounter other strange behaviour, like a form keeping old/previous data or not submitting at all.

One sure-fire way is to reset your browsing temporary data by manually clearing your cookies & browser cache. Depending what browser you are using, how to complete that task may look a little different.

What are Cookies?

A Cookie, is a delicious treat and it is also a small file that gets created by a web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox etc.) at the request of a web site (e.g. Mobi2Go) that is stored on a computer. These files generally store user-specific information such as selections in a form, order checkout contents, or authentication data to ensure your session is secure. Most browsers will normally clear cookies that reach a certain age, or the cookie will expire after the session has concluded, but clearing them manually may solve problems with the website like Mobi2Go, or your browser.

What is Browser Cache?

Whenever you load a page through a web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox etc.) it loads the files that are stored on the website. The browser does this to try to make your life easier in future by caching it (also known as keeping for later) so that it doesn't have to keep retrieving the same files (images, assets etc.) from the remote server, every time you go back, forward or reload the page. This helps to ease the load on the server & ensures your browsing experience is smooth, fast & intuitive. We recommend periodically clearing the cache in your browser to allow it to function more efficiently.
